Study in Old Schoolby heathenComment: I am really bummed that this shot did not do better! It was one of my favorites in the challenge...I gave it a 10. I actually rated this challenge and picked favorites based on the shots I knew my son would like. He is an Autistic 6 year old who is OBSESSED with railroad crossings, not so much trains, but the railroad crossings!! You had every element he would love...the moving train, the lights flashing and the bars down. I just got the chance to show him the favorites I elected for him to see (I had to sort out the shots that appeared threatening and the derailment would have freaked him out), and this was surely his favorite. He wants me to take him out right now to recreate this shot! It is 3 in the afternoon, and I am trying to explain why we can't do this RIGHT NOW. Anyway...thought you should know...you created an image that was greatly enjoyed by me and my son. As far as I am concerned, he is the world's greatest critic and knows a good photo when he sees one!!!! Message edited by author 2006-11-05 15:55:22. |

Jennifer Laying Downby PixlmakerComment: defenitely one of my favorites from the group. She has a maturity about her here that she doesn't have in some of the other photos. |

Rebecca Riggby jblaylockraynerComment: This photo would be exquisite without the pooch! Nothing at all against doggies, but the four legged friend just doesn't match her beauty in this shot!! I love her expression! 8 |

The Greek Placeby amsterComment: I wish the building were not cut off on the right hand side. That would have been a phenomenol (sp?) sight! Nothing for me to criticize too greatly though...9 |

Long ago in times untold...by awpollardComment: My son's doctor has an old scale like this in his office. He really cracked me up when he shouted he had 50 points. Wouldn't it be great if we were all measured in points?! The photo is great...just jogged my memory and put a smile to my face!! |

Meet Little Irisby dsa157Comment: i do love the idea of this shot. I might be happier if I could see both of eyes from the guy. Of course, if he only has one eye, then I understand the need to disguise it in the shadow. It does throw the balance off for me though. |

The Re-Emergence of a Giantby tryals15Comment: A shot that is close to my heart and close to my home...
The crop is great for this image. I love the rays coming from the clouds and the lines of the DOME. It's a strong image. I hope everyone can take it for its meaning! |
