Lovely photo, have you ever thought about doing pet photography? As for your sky situation, heres one idea, not the best probably but it should work, if you have another pic with a large amount of sky in it, cut the sky out, paste it into this photo as a new layer in PS then change the transparency on the original in the selected area (the white sky) so it is down to zero, set the transparency for the non sky area on the new layer to 0, then merge them, this should in effect transfer the sky from the "good" sky pic to the pic of the dog. Just my humble idea, should work, but there may be a better way...

| 08/31/2004 10:56:55 AM | The Pretzel Guyby TranquilComment: Greetings,
Just thought I'd offer my comments, The vendor looks great, focus is awesome on him, what bugs me about this pic though is the out of focus ....pretzels?...in the foreground. My eye keeps getting drawn to them instead of the vendor, perhaps because they are taking up a lot of the forefront of the pic. The pole on the left really doent bother me, nor does the background neither one detracts from the subject, but those pretzels.....(oh yeah and the bottle of what I assume is mustard on the lower right, but that is minor and I'm sure could be cloned out in PS). As to how to improve this shot, perhaps you could try it from a differnet angle, or perhaps shoot it when he is in "action" either preparing or selling a pretzel.....just my humble opinion...

If this had been say a Beach challenge I would have given it about an 8

Great Pic, I like it a lot, reminds me of a railroad near where I grew up, only thing that bothers me a slight bit is the fog/lighting of the upper right corner, it seems a ittle overexsposed, perhaps PS could fix it up for you.....Still a great print!
