Very graphic due to the superb lighting. The repeating pattern is perfect and would be even better if you could have got the person in the lit area. Exposure percet, DoF perfect. A winner.

Wow, Very Interesting photo, would make a good print, although perhaps the person should be PS'd out, maybe....sorry 'bout the score though, it just doesnt say HOPE to me, despite being a great shot. If this had been say a Beach challenge I would have given it about an 8

Quite apart from the requirements of the challenge, this is a wonderful photograph, one that I wish I had the imagination and the opportunity to capture. The golden light, the tones of the sky and the ground, the lights in the distance. Amazing work. Now, how does it meet the challenge? I'm frankly not sure I see your point in the title. The lone person walking in the distance adds an element of loneliness to the picture, but I just don't see where the hope theme comes in. In another challenge (patterns, vanishing point(!)), this photo would probably get an 8 or 9 from me, but because the challenge is hope, I have to ratchet it down a few notches.

I have no idea what this has to do with hope but I like the picture well enough to score it well. I like the sharp contrst between the dark and light areas. I like the focus a DOF.
