Harsh Realityby SJCarterComment: Very nice shot. The composition is great, as there are leading lines that guides the view to the subject of the photo. Colors are wonderful, but a little bit pastle the color of the bricks for my personal taste. The details are great on yourself. Definitely a grunge portrait. |

Invisible for everyoneby patrinusComment: Sorry for your place. I didn't vote all the photos of the challenge, but this was my only 10. I think is superb, and is added to my favorites. That is one of the things of DPC, we're a great and big community and there are many different opinions.
Regards.

Sunset-20050403.jpgby KaizerComment: Lovely colors. Impactant sky with a redish sun. Good moment to shot.
Maybe the composition could be more dynamic if the tree wasn't so centered.
Good job. |

Mind the gap please...by AndersComment: Wonderful location for the shot. The place is marvellous. The composition is quite good.
The only thing to improvr IMO, is maybe that it lacks contrast in the right side.
Well done. |

Honduran Boyby cfischlComment: Agree with the others commenters: you get a wonderful b/w and the object if too centered, not dynamic.
But the expresion of the kid is outstanding and the DOF very good. |

Graveyard 1by cfischlComment: Very good this b/w too. you achieved a very detailed texture. Like the composition. I would love to see completely the cross that is in shadows, but it's not your fault...LOL
Love it. |

National Cathedralby cfischlComment: Wonderful B&W shot. I love B&W when it's used properly, and I think this one improves with it. Subject is nice, and there's a good play between shadows and lights.
Critiques: the light up the door is blowed and IMO vigneting is excesive, I think it's appropiate but a little bit less would be nicer . But just an opinion.
Well done. |
