technically, this is a fine shot; aesthetically, it's not that interesting. these shots a good for parents, good for newspapers doing articles about individuals, but, they are no good for dpc challenges. this is something that could be captured by nearly anyone with a decent camera and lens; if you want to score higher, you've got to do something that can't be done by just anyone...

nice moment, good perspective. you might want to take a look at this using shadow/highlights. you can still make it pop, but you lose the raccoon effect of the harsh sunlight.
