This is just my opinion, so take this with a grain of salt, but I think this would have been much better without the lit ground so prominent... Had you been able to isolate just the tree being lit with the black background (from a much lower perspective for instance), I feel this would have been much stronger. Of course it would be a completely different shot, and not what you were going for... So, pay no attention to me :)

If you could have found an angle where the building in the lower left wasn't there I think this would have been a much stronger image. The slant bothered me at first, but I grew to like it
