Fly By by kloutitComment: Great job! I had an "aha!" moment when I read the location, I've walked past there on several occasions. Haven't been to SG in a couple years, though... I miss it! |

Road to Dreamsby deme314Comment: Per your forum post, I'd like to give you my view of what the comment by Falc refers to... the commentor may choose to correct me if I'm wrong when the comments become visible after the close of voting.
Your shot refers to the road as a "road to dreams," implying that the basketball court can be a place where dreams come true. That's truly an American attitude, more than anywhere else in the world most likely. that's probably a large component of what the commentor, who is from the UK, is talking about.
He also points to specific things, exposure, composition, etc. that don't appeal to him, and suggests avenues for improvement. Don't take these as negatives, but use them to learn and to take your photography to the next level. |

Angel Flew Too Close To The Ground by ColeyComment: Congrats on the blue! I was impressed when I voted on this one, and even more so since I know how little changed from the original it is. Wonderful concept and great execution! The weather really played in your favor, the bleak sky, the contrast between her black clothing and the white snow, wonderful. The only thing I'd change would be the heavy boots, in favor of something more feminine... |

3 is a Magic Numberby dsa157Comment: What a great famly portrait! Only chage I'd make is to tone down the "hot spot on her forehead. Nice work. |

Mars - Oct 28-29, 2005.jpgby strangeghostComment: Wow John, I knew by the live video feed as you shot that you were going to get something good... this even exceeds my expectations!
You can definitely see the improvement in edge sharpness in the later series, when it was higher above the horizon. We likely won't get seeing like that again soon. What a great coincidence that it happened on a weekend night near opposition... and moonless at that. |
