...by TiberiusComment: The eye contact you have with your subject serves to single her out that much more. I like that your DOF is shallow enough to highlight your subject, but deep enough that we can make out the expresions of the other children. Alos, her pose helps single her out even further. All in all, an entry that stands out and that should do quite well. |

Crossingby AndelainComment: Fascinating landscape. The person is almost lost in the shot, though. |

Eye Contact by jjbeguinComment: Captivating...like an adult version of Where's Waldo. The B&W is stunning and well done, and the deep DOF, rather than the shallow one seen in most other shots here, gives us a lot to see. It's gonna be tough, but I think you have a good shot at the top prize. Regardless of whether you get it or not, this is still one hell of a shot. |

Dressed for the Occaision? by SkipComment: Mark Warner? Interesting....how come his hands are desaturated? It is a cool shot, thanks to what you've pointed out already: the clothing. Good luck. |

Woman on a bikeby aznymComment: I really like the processing here and the sense of movement from the long shutter speed. This should do well...let's say that I hope it does well. |

The Conservative.by docpjvComment: I think he spotted you...an exquisite photo, indeed. His expression is subtle without being obtuse. Great capture. |

Market Manby e301Comment: Ok, this should be the winner. It is flat-out interesting. I love the dark tonality, but at the same time, you haven't lost anything with the dark. The man is singled out in many ways: he's the only one in focus, he's closest to the camera, he's not looking in the same direction as everyone else, he's the only one with a hat, etc, etc. I don't know enough about phototizery to be able to give you a better critique, so I'll wish you luck in the challenge instead. |

In a world of her ownby LalliSigComment: Nice effect...one of the more creative in the challenge from what I've seen. I don't have much else to say...so good luck. |

Green & Goldby BrianRComment: The de-sat is an interesting way of singling out your subject and directing the viewer in the way you see fit. I think another good choice for this treatment would have been the standing woman in the back, even though she is slightly out of focus. There is something, to me, anyway, about the woman that is highlighted that just isn't that interesting. Lots of potential in the shot. |

Focusby elsapoComment: Very nice. I like the warm colors and the way her hair is blowing around. I know you didn't have that much to do with the hair...well, maybe you did. |
