Man in a Panama Hatby chaliceComment: I'm not a psychologist but I'm interested in how people have chosen to appear in this challenge ; some like you , like me have preferred to be quite natural even if your lighting adds a touch of mystery. |

A Woman with a Viewby GuGiComment: Hi Guðrún ! Nice collection ! I like that you've chosen to appear full of colors !
The background with books fits you well , two more things that we have in common : books and Champagne , can't imagine a life without that ! ;-) |

Good things come to those that wait.by blazingmoonlightComment: From the Critique Club :
Hi Diane ,
Very interesting photo ! I have to confess that I liked your Form Merging Towards the Afterlife Glow , this time with the same elements you have composed a different scene.
Lighting is good , sepia has been an excellent choice , no out-of-focus or blurry zones : that's great !
The composition is good , I like the way you put the fabric (opened to interpretations as the course of life by example).
I just wonder if it could have worked better with a different position of the left arm : not visible or with the left hand opened and resting on her belly. I tell you that because in the comments left , it seems that some people didn't understand very well.
Congrats for your personal best score !

Hello Goran ,
Thanks for giving all those informations in the Photographer's Comments box !
Your country seems beautiful and it has been a pleasure to visit your web site , it's full of stunning photos.
About the settings of your camera I have noticed that Contrast,Saturation,Sharpness are set high , you maybe could have more power to play with those values during the edition.
Does your photo meet the challenge ? I think it does well but maybe others were thinking about newspapers.
Mediterranean sea has a magical and clear lighting , I like your photo very much , the composition is good , the colors are nice ,maybe the blue tones are a bit over saturated (on the middle of the photo , left hand , less in the right hand).
It has a classic appealling but maybe have not a wow factor.
Please free feel to email me about this critique ,
Mambe

This meeting in now in session..by lentilComment: From the Critique Club :
Hi Lisa ,
Congrats for your personal best score !
First , I have to tell you that yellow is one of my favorite colors (the other one is blue) so now you can imagine the big smile on my face ...
In your photo , the yellow tones fit very very well , they are warm and peaceful.I haven't seen the original but you wrote that you added a slight gradient , well done , the sky looks great !
Comparing with , the sky looks much better in your challenge entry.
Excellent capture , good composition , I'm sure that a panoramic crop should look fantastic too (for a print).
Very good job ! |
