I really wish advanced editing could be used to edit out the extra white fabric and white spot on the left...I changed the original crop to hide as much of the excess fabric as possible.

From the Critique Club :

Hi Diane ,

Very interesting photo ! I have to confess that I liked your Form Merging Towards the Afterlife Glow , this time with the same elements you have composed a different scene.

Lighting is good , sepia has been an excellent choice , no out-of-focus or blurry zones : that's great !

The composition is good , I like the way you put the fabric (opened to interpretations as the course of life by example).

I just wonder if it could have worked better with a different position of the left arm : not visible or with the left hand opened and resting on her belly. I tell you that because in the comments left , it seems that some people didn't understand very well.

Congrats for your personal best score !

An unnusual picture. I like the crop. I like the shadow behind her. It bothers me a bit the dark line at the bottom of the picture. Would have liked to see all green background. And also the two white spots on the bottom right bothers me a bit. But I know there is nothing you could have done because of the basic editing. But a great picture overall. Good luck with this one!

Very nice shot. Not obvious how it fits to the saying, but giving it some thought and yes :) (I like the not too obvious things here on DPC, wish it would happen more often.)

Great image. I love the way you've made her look as if she's floating there. Composition and lighting are excellent.
