Roseby emorgan49Comment: Revisiting this entry.
Tattoo is very nice. Lighting appears to be natural, available light. The angle at which you chose to photograph your model created rather strong back/side lighting and the back of the model is quite in the shadows, while the right shoulder is strongly illuminated. Not an ideal situation for what you are trying to convey to your viewers. The yellow towel, I suppose is for some connection to the challenge theme. I feel it is a stretch to call this within the spirit of the challenge theme. Sorry. |

Xby sz_martaComment: Revisiting...
First the good. Focused, well exposed. The lighting is tastefully executed. Really highlights what you wanted to convey to the viewer. I think overall the composition is good and the perspective works well.
Now for the bad. Border does not complement the focus of this image, the legs. It rather draws attention to the shoes. Not good in this particular challenge.
And the ugly. It's a stretch to call those legs yellow. This doesn't really conjure up the image of yellow when I view it. This does not fit very well with the spirit of the challenge. You might as well have desaturated this image (or at least selectively to preserve the shoes), and toned it yellow. Of course, even then, it wouldn't really fit the theme as it would appear to have been done for the sole purpose of meeting the yellow requirement. Point is, I think this stunning image is better served in a different challenge. Sorry.

I Like Bananas!!!by A VaryaComment: Okay. Three comments.
1) Title is almost appropriate for the designated photograph, afterall, bananas are yellow, as is this shot. It could have been more relevant if there was ACTUALLY a banana somewhere in this photo. But you were being subtle right?
2) What am I looking at? Is this a part of a ceiling, or a wall? Looks like there is a pin hole over on the left side which gives some clue.
3) The only relevance of this entry to this particular challenge is that yes, everything in this shot is yellow. So what's the catch? Is there some inner meaning here that I'm too dense to comprehend? Sorry.

Loversby SharQComment: A bold entry. This shot has a lot of artistic strengths. It's probably gonna get shot down for a couple of reasons. First is that I suspect this will be too erotic for some people's taste. Second is that this is merely a desaturated and yellow toned image which makes no connection with the color yellow in an interpretive manner. I think this would be equally suited in a steel blue tone, sepia tone, or pure B&W (or in color). It's as if it was toned yellow just to submit for this challenge. For me, it's the second reason why I cannot highly rate this otherwise technically and artistically superb entry. |

autum fully Dressedby HalimComment: Interesting image. I think you took a regular photograph and tweaked the colors to turn everything yellow. Two comments. Rather then being yellow, it's more of a muddy mustard color. There is a also a distracting lack of contrast and focus which takes away from the beauty of what you are trying to portray. For all the processing you performed, you kept the sky relatively blue, and I'll give ya bonus points for that. |

Specimensby EddyGComment: Revisiting this shot as it bears some interest for me.
I like your composition. Nice and clean, well exposed. Specimens...interesting title. Even more interesting to contemplate what specimens these represent. Bumping this one up. |

chillinby arngrimurComment: Haha, chillin' in dish of...gatorade? jello? funky blue liquid?
I think your choice of colors here works well. My only concern is that your duck appears to be reflecting too much of the blue juice. Perhaps if you illuminated this side of the duck with a directed diffuse light, he would be better exposed...just a thought. Bumping this one up to a 6. |

When life hands you lemons...by neesa108Comment: ...eat the lemon? :) (revisiting this photograph for comments)
Quite a motivational message here. I like the way you framed this shot. The lighting works well. Black backdrop certainly cuts out the distractions and allows the viewer to focus on the message at hand. Overall well done in my book. 7 |

Follow the Yellow Brick Roadby scalvertComment: What I like about this shot is the pose of Toto. She appears to be intently watching the road, and that adds much interest to this shot. There's a little bit of haloing around the heels of the ruby shoes but not quite enough to be distracting. I think your color balance is excellent too. Overall a great shot. 8 |

Sour Noteby tyt2000Comment: Revisiting this photograph. I find the lighting to be quite remarkable in this shot. Plus, the focus and exposure is perfect. Bumping up to 7. |
