Excellent Idea, this definately draws one down into the center of the picture. Gets a little fuzzy near the center, to draw me completely into the center I would like to see it a little sharper near the arches. Still a very good picture.

Nice use of b/w, excellent shadows. I may have cropped a little more from the sides as horizontal lines on the left seem to distract more than add any value to the picture.

I think you could have even cropped this with just the window frame (dark gray) and inward and we still would have picked up on the fact that the venus was through a window. Great Idea, very good picture.

I like this. Subject centered, excellent colors...especially the way the blue plays into the green and the green into the ground/background colors. Excellent dof that makes the Ball holder (I think) really stand. Subject matter a little different for me but still high marks.

Pretty cool shot. I don't know what it is but for me it just seems to be missing something in center. Could be sharpness or detail, I can't quite put my finger on it. I might have used a color version of this unless it was really over cast and the sky was very white. It is a very good composition.

The hand is the center of this shot, but I am drawn to the child to see why they would have their head down. It is an emotional shot but I keep being drawn away to the child. I believe you are going for the don't talk to me (mom, dad) feel. For this particular challenge I may have had the child sitting up in the center of the shot with head hung low, one hand covering face the other up as you have it but almost covering the face-in-hand behind. Keep the veiwer in the center by making them try to look beyond the hand to see what is wrong. A little windy but thats my thoughts.

Very cool picture, I like the detail and atmosphere you captured. But for this challenge (as I read it) it seems to be a little busy on top. perhaps a square crop from the bottom, putting the flame near the center, and omitting those cute guys on top of the balloon that keep drawing me upward would have done better with me. Great Shot, I love all the colors you got going on here.
