While I never really liked that painted-on style of postcards/photography, this is an effective use of it. Maybe some more blue in the sky and more grey on the road, but this is well done.

I like the ray of light, but so much of the shot looks dirty. The bird might pop more if the picture were brighter.

There's an element missing from this photo that would make it more interesting. A person watching the tram go by, or a *something* that it's heading toward. While the picture is well focused with nice colors, there's nothing to draw me into the frame.

Cliffs of Dun Aengus

As gorgeous as this is, it just looks really fake, almost as though it's three separate photos put together. Maybe it's the sky, which looks great; or the sharpness of the cliffs, which are cool; or the very green pathway; probably the combination of all three. I'm sure it's real, but I think maybe it's just overprocessed for my tastes.

If the soft focus is intentional, it works against the title. The stubble, unkempt hair, and frown work great; but the eyes and soft focus are too kind for "grumpy."

There's something "off" about this. He looks great - love the rugged look. But the background seems to be competing for attention; maybe something smoother and more drab would have worked better.

Great subject, nice composition, but my eyes are immediately drawn to the brightest spot in the photo -- the Snapple cap. Every time.

Black(bird) and Blue

Interesting idea, but it doesn't completely work. Maybe see the whole bird? Have the antenna fill more of the frame? Keep it away from the bird? I do like the focus and the black vs blue.
