Kristin's Paletteby LN13Comment: I really like this still life and the way you've composed the elements in the photo. IMHO the top of the palette looks a tad soft/out of focus. And the lighting appears a little on the warm/incandescent side with some shadow casting. Maybe trying alternate WB settings or more neautral lighting would have helped? Just my own opinion, nice shot nonetheless |

Winter in Yorkshireby RiponladyComment: Nice use of selective desat here. IMHO I think you could have made the shot tighter to weight the person heavier in the composition. This may have increased the impact of the umbrella. If in full color, your current composition would be perfect. But with the selective desaturation, I don't think as much of the landscape is needed in order to make an impact here. |

sunsetby kennytComment: I like the warm colors you've captured here. I have to admit though, my initial reaction to the shot is that the subject matter is just not compelling to me. Maybe a tighter shot or angled macro perspective would have put the focus more on the colors and textures of the lamp, rather than on the actual lamp itself? |

The Old Pumpby TommyMoe21Comment: Great shot. I love the detail and focus here. The color saturation and warm palette is nice also. Don't care much for the border as it seems robust and 'crowds' the subject to me. Just my humble opinion, nice shot nonetheless... 7 |

Charmedby TammerComment: Nice composition and colors. Lighting seems a tad off with the upper left more exposed than the lower right. |

This one first . . .by glad2badadComment: Nice detail and focus on this macro. Great use of DOF to isolate the hand and crayons. Maybe more lighting to remove the shawdows under the hand would have helped? |

artist houseby rhipsterComment: Very interesting subject. Alot of elements on that house to make it interesting to look at. IMHO a more abstract/unconventional POV for the shot would have added to the photo. Taking it from straight eye level adds very little. Given the eclectic nature of your subject, maybe a wide angle perspective, or ground level POV might have emphasized it better? Just my humble opinion, nice shot nonetheless |
