Rumohra Adiantiformisby bongoComment: Beautifully done. I like the element of backlighting the foreground flower. Against the black background, it really pops. I think you could have eliminated the background fern altogether and used the negative space to accentuate the subject even more. |

Sunrise!by dwterryComment: This is a great compositional approach. The frame might be a little bit overdone but the idea of the flower rising out of the bottom of the frame, suggesting sunrise to me, is exceptional. |

Queen Anne's Laceby pitsamanComment: Simply stated, powerfully beautiful. Elegant and effective. I'm a sucker for a simple composition on a black background. Your lines and angles are great. Maybe a bit more negative space (de-centered subject) would have made it even more powerful. Excellent job! 8 |

atlantic fruitby byoungComment: There's something about your photo that really works. It's simple, yet has a number of very compelling elements that reward closer inspection. The purple hues of the stems and flower, the beautiful greens, the nearly concealed yellow bloom (?), and the contrast of the tack-sharp web against the softly blurred background... I could go on. Excellent vision to have seen this and made it work as well as you did. 8. |

Fern Frondsby dsa157Comment: I love your vision and imagination. This is a great composition for the challenge and a wonderful way to make a fern stand out. Great shot! |

Spotted Tiger Lillyby debitiptonComment: A beautiful shot of this lilly but I think you cropped it a bit too close. Good clarity and lighting though... |

Flowers And The Killpecker Sand Dunesby GallatinComment: Overall a very nice shot, one that I would certainly like to emulate. However, I think you could have done more with levels, curves and contrast. For example, the blue sky and clouds should "pop" a bit more. The mountains along the horizon should also stand out a bit sharper. With the advantage of advanced editing rules, you can do these things and not compromise the integrity of your photo. |

Honeysuckle Seedby dartompkinsComment: Too small. I think your choice of subject is very nice, but you needed to use the space allowed to make it really stand out. |
