Play it Where it Lies

I like the reflections from the ball radiating outwards. I think it would be nicer with a solid black background and you need to be carefull with those highlights. You've blown them out completeley on a good chunk of the ball. In the future, expose for the highlights so you have detail there and then bring the shadows back in post processing. You can't bring highlights back because there is no detail to begin with.

Curves

This shot is simply fantastic. Its real soft yet high contrast at the same time. The heavy shadow gives it a sense of mystery and the curves are accentuated extemely well by the light. I wish it could fill the frame a little more but thats my only complaint. 9

The lighting here is definetly harsh making the subject a little bit flat and also making it lose a little color. You may consider experimenting with different crops. Maybe losing some off the top and right to put the lion off-center. The only other thing I may suggest(and I didn't notice right away) is cloning out the purple lens flare(or whatever its called) right along the bottom of the frame at the lions rear.

I like the angle that this was shot from a little more than your challenge entry but it has a lot more of his jacket when the real subject is his face and smile. With this shot the space above his right shoulder isn't doing anything. If you ever have a person or face on one side of the frame, always trying to have them looking across the frame to the other side instead of directly out of the frame. It just helps to connect the space in the frame. My only other small complaints are that his face seems a little red and it seems like it may have been sharpened a little too much.

Awesome! I was going through the top ten and thinking "When will I get to Elvi's". It didn't take long. Such an intense feel from such a pretty lady, a good combo. I'm going to hit you back on that pm soon its been forever and you probably haven't even thought about it but, I will respond. Great job as always.

Good job filling the frame. You've just barely kept some highlights blowing out. Overall nice portrait. 6

Try to stay away from direct flash, especially when a wall or object is directly behind the suject. It creates that horrible outline shadow to the right. Instead try bouncing it off the ceiling

The lighting, color and focus are all spot on with this shot. I like the fact that neither are looking into the camera, gives it a natural feel. I'm also a big fan of burning in the top as you have done, really brings your eyes straight to the subject. My only complaint would be to crop out that teeny bit of out of focus animal in the bottom left corner. Other than that, great stuff.

This is definetly my favorite of the bunch. The lighting is real nice, hair works well and I can't help but wonder what she is thinking about or looking at. Good job and keep shooting these.

Excellent tight crop head shot. Love the nice soft skin from the even lighting and also perfect light skin tone. There are small things I might play with like sharpening her mouth a tad or perhaps her left(acutally right) eye but you pretty much nailed this on. Great job!
