Try to stay away from direct flash, especially when a wall or object is directly behind the suject. It creates that horrible outline shadow to the right. Instead try bouncing it off the ceiling

I was about to say Mug Shot, right before I read the title. If Mug Shot is what you're going for, it works. I might punch the blacks and whites up a bit. You're a little too gray.

The shadow behind you is too harsh. You need some of your light to reflect behind you.

shadows are too harsh. You need to adjust your lighting and not stand so close to the backdrop
