Golden Soulmatesby nards656Comment: A ring doesn't make the greatest photo but two is better - at least in this case as I feel they could easily tell a story. Father-son, buddies whatever...
I love the texture on the surface/background and the grainy look. All very appropriate!
All the details comes out very well with the lighting you provided. At the same time it does not look too sharp. Good use of a shallow DOF.
In a way so simple but clearly well thought out and a lot of attention to detail. A well deserved 10! |

Hello? Hello? Can you hear me Joe?by rinacComment: Very nice! Technically it is sharp and looks good in b/w. But I also like the entire concept. The cropping with both faces on the outside but enough visible to see that it is a young couple (or at least opposite sex) laves something for the imagination.
I also like how the guy holds the can in a guy manner while the girl is doing in a much more girly way.
Well thought out! |

Carbon is a Girl's Best Friendby fldaveComment: The only things that is in focus here is the ring and it is dead center... Not appealing to me but may be to other. I understand the idea and that you wanted to put focus on the challenge topic but it just doesn't look very good as is.
As much as I like the hand (it is a very nice looking hand! :)) I would have maybe opted to put the ring on a branch on the tree and tried to make it interesting. I know - maybe a bad idea but I just don't like this with the hand in it. |

Chlorineby MilesWComment: Great idea with a good result. The crop/composition is good and the choice of green 'chlorine' is also appropriate.
It looks as though there is an alien with a very empty look inside the mask - nice effect! |

Cu(s)by mileskeaComment: More coins... I just don't look at this as an artistic photo with photographic value. The coin is special and lighting is good. But other than that I do not find this interesting. |

Chain of goldby hajekaComment: Not a super interesting image but you managed to get an ok photo out of a brass chain. Sharpness, shallow DOF and lighting is all good. |

In my dream, I stood before a moss-draped iron fence...by sherComment: Great idea and a good result!
The shallow DOF, b/w and slightly grainy look makes this a nice image to me. The angle which you captured this in addition to the lights in the background makes it even better.
I'm not sure if you put the weeds there yourself but I love it regardless. It would have been a totally different image otherwise.
Absolutely nothing to deduct from me - 10+ |

Mercuryby libertyComment: It is mercury indeed and it is sharp. But to me this looks more like a stock photo. It does help it a little though that it is an older thermometer and that it is not completely straight. |
