Where to start?by TruegshtComment: nice picture composition is interesting black and white works well ... however it is soft and out of focus in odd areas.horizon looks off by a few degrees.
With a dramatic sky and good DOF this could have scored much better IMO

Crossing Dangerby MulderComment: It looks like your B&W conversion was just a desaturate?
Desaturate seems to wash out detail and I see this here. If I am wrong I apologise however there still is detail lacking here

The branches on each side are distracting.
I seem to take alot of pictures like this ... it looks great in real life but in photo it loses something
