Warren Lade at 99by choltmeierComment: By far, the best portrait I've seen in a long time. I especially like the lighting and choice of lens to catch an intimate view of Warren and a glimpse of his personality. I will be disappointed if this doesn't ribbon. |

Late Shoppingby OmniComment: This is a terrific image ... one I fear that will be under-rated in the voting. The person in front of the window makes the image. Well done. |

Straight Up Aerobaticsby alzartComment: I'm having trouble figuring out the scale of this ... looks like amodel but is too crisp to be a model in flight ... whatever ... I like it. |

Pristine Blueby cup4tmlComment: Beautifully executed capture of a subject that has become a bit of a cliche. Doesn't diminish the photo at all, but makes me hope for something more original. |

SHAYby jwillertonComment: Well executed example of a straight-up portrait. Her eyes bore into me ... a little scarry ... am I worthy of such scrutiny? |

Ajarby cwalmyeComment: I love this subject/genre. This is a neat example of it at it's best. I even like the angles! |

Commuteby IraklisComment: I did this for so many years, it is at the same time nostalgic and painful. Nice capture and presentation. |

My Only Regretby bucketComment: This is perhaps the strongest image I've seen so far. I don't grok the title but I love the image ... a man, maybe in uniform, in a darkly exotic place alone, full of mystery. I might cut 15% off the right edge to balance the composition, but that's probably a personal preference. |
