A Hole in a Wallby ThingFishComment: I like the combination of straight lines and curved. You've really presented an unlikely visual treat. The focus seems off. |

Escape by LevTComment: Of course the pigeon secures the image, a deft and rousing note. The overall simplicity is powerful, suggesting the deeper feeling of your title. Nice.
One part that I wonder about is the view through the window which, to me, doesn't seem quite natural. Pardon me if I'm wrong. |

Suzhouby TiberiusComment: Black is as much a character in this image as the mysterious man at its top. Very powerful and cinematic, noir. The reflections of merely the orange lanterns and the entering light substantiate the whole, which whole is substantiated many times over here. Balance is adroitly obtained by the positioning of the reflections, the lanterns, the open window on the front left, the wall which leads to the silhouetted figure, that figure and the barely perceptible wall on the right. And they deserve enumeration. I'm mesmerized by that window. I want to read the book or see the movie. Absolutely terrific photograph.

Oak In The Flood Watersby grahamgatorComment: Wonderful! Sometimes something can be so beautiful it's almost painful. This is one of those. Reminiscent of East Asian pen, and brush too, I guess, and ink drawings, fine, tender and evocative. The bubbles ornament both tree and water. And if the water is seen as sky, the bubbles are celestial showers. Gray and black were never so exciting.

Vano Della Porta by GolferDDSComment: The colors, shapes, textures and, especially, the composition combine in a visual song that serenades the viewer. Fine stuff. |

141 E 2ndby namComment: There's a vibrancy to this building that's more than saturation which, as it is, I like. It's shaped like a Tetris block. The red brick peeking through the peeled paint, or whatever, appear on the left to be clouds, more staccato on the right. The blue strip on the lower right of the building is even more sky-like, the heavens as foundation, the color echoed twice more. The sidewalk is lovely, awash in soft orange. The asphalt parking area is also quite lovely, the expected black subverted into a dark blue speckled with a stronger orange of leaf matter, echoing the rust on the door. Altogether enchanting.
