Wrecked Car Abstractby jomariComment: Another fascinating, juicy abstract. The upper beautiful blues puts one in mind of a landscape, but then it takes off to fantastic realms. The bottom is so abstract that all I can pick out are the two insect-like figures on the right, but why I feel compelled to assign realism I can't say. I'm really enjoying your series, which is marvelously engaging. |

Thornsby digifotojoComment: Beautiful reds to this branch and thorns. I like its positioning upwards of center. The bokeh is glorious and gives the whole an iconic feel. Not sure about the whitish framing. |

Backlitby digifotojoComment: Yes, beautifully backlit. The gracefully arching diagonal imbues this image with serenity. Also helping is the fascinating bokeh. |

Mireilleby mariucaComment: Interesting portrait. I especially like how she stands out so distinctly from the background. |

lunch time.IMG_5825by mariucaComment: I like the lightly shaded quietude of this image. Light fills the interior, reducing the weak glow from the bulbs on the wall to a patch of yellow. You've caught the diners wonderfully, in open deliberation on the right and as a bass note with the couple on the left. The picture on the wall is another nice touch, bringing the outside in. And outside the window are the lively canopies and sunshot trees. Lastly, the subtle framing is really fine, the column on the left and the table with glasses on the bottom. Magnifique! |

formule du midiby mariucaComment: Very nice. He doesn't know that he is being subsumed by reflections and continues on patiently. He has what I imagine is a Gallic mien, though I wouldn't know from experience. I like the strong verticals that frame him. |

Mar 23 - Light in the darkby hajekaComment: So many fine images in this challenge, and here's another one. It's a distinctive, imaginative effort that has been pulled off with casual aplomb. The bulb is a glowing, fine-grained globule of amber, dropped into the woods as a signpost for those of the night. The noise, for me, is not a distraction but a distancing from ordinary reality. |

To buy an empty lotby mitalapoComment: I love this wondrous high key image. It's fascinating in it's provocative mystery, a sci-fi scenario that feels familiar but is distant at the same time, an evolution that has broken away from our earth-bound being into ethereal. The tear-shaped objects are so strange. If they're containers, do they contain lemonade or heartbeats? The half-hidden man is a great touch that balances the scene. Bravo! |

little insect in the grassby rozComment: I like the way this is focus stacked. The eyes, abdomen and front legs establish the whole, which is allowed to drift to the periphery, as a person naturally examines a detail. The perspective is engaging. I imagine this tiny creature seeing a field of thousands of me. Overall, immersive and mesmerizing. |

Calla Abstractby digifotojoComment: This is a lovely new take on your calla lily series. Instead of sensitive and nuanced in color we now have visual electronic music. The background is a varied sort of plaid that is surprisingly restful. The mostly covered black square in the center is a great touch. Great framing. The overlapping lilies form a subtly toned maze, like the heart of a fantastic creature. I enjoy imagining the silky-textured passageways. This is a quantum leap in your explorations and really special. Message edited by author 2019-03-24 08:16:25. |
