you can't change one hair of itby mitalapoComment: Another fine image in accompaniment to Don's book of poems. A fine match of talented photographer and poetry of bounteous ideas and images. I'm taken with the composition -- quarter circles in the lower corners, a rectilinear background and a free form middleground. The man, scant of hair on his head, is almost in repose and of triangular form, transitioning nicely from front to back. The depth of field is perfect. The overall scene is excellent.

man selling eggsby instepsComment: This entrancing image is full to bursting, which lifts the heart in some way. Organized chaos. I like how the generous foreground is full of motorbikes and colorful touches. Then up through the middleground of the red awning, egg merchant, road, fence and trees. Finally, the sky. Beautifully casual. Two touches I really like are the tilted glass the man is drinking from, so delicately shown to be from its position and perhaps ice in water; and the mirror on the right that offers a reflection of tree fronds above. An unabridged chapter. |

barbed wire and butterflyby rozComment: I love this image. Is it a barb masquerading as a butterfly or butterflies masquerading as barbs? Such a delicate, poignant observation, so beautifully photographed and presented. The bokeh circles are also extraordinary. I'd put this on my wall in a heartbeat. |

Wisteriaby GermaineComment: Lovely gems of the garden. Such a feeling of abundance in this expanse of purple. Your comment also breathes spring into being. |

soupsby mariucaComment: Elegant presentations all. This is my favorite because the tilt brings the sense of being on a luxury cruise on stormy seas, and this meal by all rights should be sliding off the table. But it's not because wealth has its privileges. |

Remnantsby jomariComment: Interesting panoply of colors, shapes and textures. The composition seems to start at the bottom center and open out to the upper corners. This gives the impression of a wide open river, for example, flowing and tumbling towards the photographer. Yet there's so much going on here that one can only grasp at metaphors. A feast one can return to often for newly discovered tidbits. |

Mar 28 - Artby hajekaComment: What a strange structure. A sausage tree? De gustibus, etc. I do like the setting, gray and delicate, a horizontal journey. The individual trees are like fingerprints. |

Walkby MargaretNetComment: Very interesting and successful image. The scene looks appealing before the processing, but you've revealed the inscrutable nature of these people, like mirrors without reflections. I like the pen and ink scratchiness, and the marbled tones overall. Your experimenting has yielded fine results. |

Bulletin Boardby GermaineComment: So much going on here, but it works out nicely. It has the color and glow of stained glass, the church of everyday life. Those signs at the bottom are the commandments. I think it looks best when seen from a bit of distance. Engaging. |
