Surrender to Fall?by admart01Comment: An interesting concept and a good image technically, but your score will likely suffer from portraying an inanimate object as decisive. There's really no mind to make up. |

My Nightly Indecisionby artvetComment: A decent concept, but I almost missed the hand. The bottles are so strong, that the subtle hand is easy to overlook. The white balance is off, too, but I do respect the difficulty of capturing the hand at all. |

180 yards, cross wind, which clubby StagoleeComment: The choice here is apparent, but not the indecision. a hand hovering over the clubs would help greatly. You might also have a more compelling image if the background depicted a somewhat blurry view down the fairway, with the flag in the top right corner. |

Autumnby jmritzComment: Nice color, John. even better if you crop out the overexposed sky so that the water becomes 2/3 of the photo. |

A nice view inby mrorange002Comment: Why'd you even bother putting a border on this photo when the main feature IS a border? Pity you posted it here- this had ribbon potential for the free study. |

Genesisby SkipComment: I'm surprised this didn't score higher. The color and shallow DOF are excellent. A more off-centered crop (either way) would have helped greatly. Given the advanced editing, you could have pulled some of the blue out of the foreground leaves and cloned out the big white stamen(?) at the bottom of the bud. Maybe an alternate title- "Enlightenment" or "Inner Glow" ? |

Anyone Seen Laurie?by SkipComment: What lhall said (and I think the clouds are fine). The amazing thing to me is that you have the birds so well separated (with the exception of the right edge). You could probably liven up the gulls with careful use of the Shadow/Highlight filter, History Brush and Saturation tool. |

Snaggedby SkipComment: Cool shot! Rotate the image to get the water rings level and use Neat Image to polish it off. Looks like you've got some sensor dust spots- there's a big one to the right of the gull's head and another towards the top right corner. |
