Relic by Ivy IIby banmornComment: Nice photo. The contrast of black and white gives an added sense of age. I am wondering what a little more under-exposure (subjective) would bring out in detail on the statue and ivy leaves. Good framing. |

the psychedelic secrets of santaby nick_hinchComment: Interesting photo and I guess the reference to ancient is Santa versus the rocks and sea. I think some additional depth in color and reduction in gamma lighting would make the photo more rich. |

our shadowsby jmritzComment: I must be obtuse, because I missed the connection with the theme. The shadow is interesting and the blurring keeps the shadow a focal point. Not wowed, but I appreciate the creative effort. |

St. Michael's Cathedralby Alex_PetriniComment: I love the effects achieved by black and white. It enhances that aspect of age. The fish-eye perspective adds a wonderful dimension. Very nice photo! |

the importance of a speckby herfotomanComment: Very simple and elegant, which is enhanced by use of black and white. The graininess gives that impression of something old when it may not be. Nice photo! |

forgotten knowledgeby disassociationComment: Nice concept. I am not wowed by some unique creativity based on perspective, lighting, etc., but it does capture the theme. Good work. |

Ancient Mountainsby rodfulkComment: I love landscapes like this. I struggle with what I see in your photo and that is the need to under-expose to give depth and rich color during sunset/sunrise and sacrifice visible features in the foreground. It makes the photo look too much 2-dimensional. This is a nice attempt to strike balance. |
