escape artistby robaComment: I love the texture in this image! The mouse seems to truly have been caught in a moment. Focus and depth of field is so perfectly coordinated in the face of the mouse! It only feels off in the blue tones of the blanket and color cast on the muzzle of the cute little creature. Nicely captured. :) |

On a rising arcby arpitaComment: For something that's "been done" so much, I think you've succeeded in capturing a lovely portrait of these daisy mums. The detail in the blossoms is pure eye-canday! Nicely handled! |

Nymphicus hollandicusby QikiComment: Like the attitude! I think the background is a bit muddy...but only in contrast with the white border...how could that be different? |

In Harmonyby LalliSigComment: A beautiful and honest portrait. I like the way you've handled the light. The details are perfect in their rendition. The only quibble for me would be the un-real eyes and lack of detail in the jewels...but hey, can you really have it all? |

a little pinkby ursulaComment: I love the study in light in this image! The reflections, forms and tones are just appealing to me. Nothing "new" here...but it is so clean and sweet I can't help but like it. |

Foggy Dawn, Laurel Lake — Actual Full-Color Imageby Bear_MusicComment: I really enjoy this image! It's a wonderful sketch! The light perfectly conveys the fridged air and mood of a foggy morning. But please, please, please(!) find a way to trust your image and refrain from turning your title into a comment! |

Expectations by mpetersComment: There's really so much to like about this image! Love the handling of the light such that the texture of the white fabrics is "there" and distinct from the background. The color of the ornament helps draw attention to those lovely eyes. The skin tones are subtle and beautifully rendered. This is not just another "family photo"...it makes me want to know this child...it is as if I have just asked her a question and she is about to give me the answer. Soft and pretty! The gloves are too large for her hands, I feel, but with everything else going for it, that can be "excused" because all other intentions are so well met. Well done! |

Fore-Tee Belowby CitadelComment: Wish the logo wasn't showing at all...I think it'd be more interesting as a study in form. |

roseby sigrun_thComment: The large white border belies the greyness of the background and (especially for this challenge) should have been minimized in my opinion. The intrusive blob in the lower right corner is a distraction and more so because one of the subject's sepals points right to it. Otherwise the subject has delicate lighting which helps show its form in a pleasing way. |
