Beautiful lighting for this subject. The background desaturation helps make this pop.

This is a nice head shot. For a portrait I think you need to show the eyes--open the shades on the window to the soul, if you will.

Hard, I'm sure to get a child this young to hold still for a shot like this. I think the beaded necklace really detracts from your subject. The spotlighting is creative but I don't think it helps the overall effect.

Wonderfully intense look on such a soft face! I think the cropping makes it seem more like a magazine photo as opposed to a "studio shot" but I may be thinking too formally. I guess I wish there was something more to give me a hint of her personality.

The idea of darkness and mystery is present here. But the loss of detail in the black accessories detracts from the overall effect. Perhaps soft secondary lighting could bring up the detail.

This does have that "sophisticated" look about it, due in part, no doubt, to the lovely lighting. I think the hand could be better posed--perhaps the head could rest more on them or the fingers could open a bit more. The shadow they cast on the chin also hurts the feel of the composition a bit.

Ahh, a person in dog's clothing! That aside, I think the fore-paws need to be in the picture--perhaps a less limited depth of field. And I don't think the baseboard hides enough for me to get the "studio" feel asked for in the challenge.

A beautiful model and well lit. I'm uncomfortable with the angle of the shot and keep trying to tilt my head to view it. I expect you were going for a "look" but it seems just a little too upside down to me.

Good strong face on your subject! I think this could be improved in the pose in one of two ways: 1. have the subject look more toward the camera so the eye can be enjoyed or 2. turn the head a bit farther away so it becomes a true profile. The lighting is even without being flat and seems to do its proper job of flattering the subject.

A moody shot! The skin tones are nice but perhaps a little deep. I'd prefer to see a little more neck on the "me" on the left--the crop just seems a little tight.
