Nice open shot - the horse has an almost surreal quality standing there. Well done.

Great picture although perhaps a little bit too dark. Also a slight anti-clockwise rotate to make the turrent point straight up would have helped. Great subject and composition though.

Great shot really depicting country life. The title is wonderful and the detail of the photo is equally good. I hope you offered these people a copy of the shot.

Nice shot - It's not the "country" which I am used to, but it's a stunning shot. Detail in the close boat, people going about life in the middle and lovely mountains in the background - well done. Technically it's very well executed.

Good attempt given the challenging lighting (bright sky, dark foreground). The grass looks a little too well kept to be "country" though. I like the composition of the tree and river - very nice.

Great perspective although I might have tried focusing on the hubcap.

Composition: I love the various textures included in this shot - the smooth mud, sharp rocks, rust coloured earth and even some steam. It's perhaps a few too many elements to combine but I actually kind of like it. I have to admit though that the photo has two focal points - the mud and the pit. A different crop may have made one focal point more powerful.

Technical Quality: You have captured the colours and textures incredibly well. I have nothing to complain about - no blown highlights, not oversharpened - just plain well done.

Meeting Challenge: I guess some people might argue that mud is water, but I think you easily met the challenge. It's certainly an interesting form of liquid - especially its behaviour.

Border / Title: The title is fine, and helps clarify what might otherwise me a confusing subject (the bubbling effect is laregly lost in a still photo). I think this shot might have been framed better with a small border - and that's probably the first time I have said a border would help.

Overall: It's a lovely shot, and will act as a great momento of your trip. I really like the various textures - the smoothness is such a contrast to the sharpness of the surrounding rocks.

Good work. I was just looking at your photo and I agree with shadow... The black and white image is very good but probably doesn't echo the "home sweet home" theme. It looks a little bit cold. I would try to recolour the photo to a sepia (brown / orange) type of colour.

Besides that the image is very good - lovely detail, lovely exposure and lighting. There is some parallax (ie: top of buildings narrower than bottom) but it's not major. The border is ok - almost too large but just ok in my opinion.

Composition: You have used an extreme close up of the phone but it works well. It's fairly obvious that it is a phone and the reflection is wonderful. The background on the right side is a little distracting because it's not obvious what it is - although making it so blurred prevents it from distracting the viewer.

Technical Quality: The photo is very good from a technical stand point. Good exposure, lovely colour (very appropriate to the challenge)

Creativity: I love the subject matter - the phone is so significant in the movie and adding a character was a wonderful idea. I'm guessing it's an image from a poster or DVD cover or something similar - great idea.

Meeting the Challenge: You have easily met the challenge - the subject, title and coloring of the photo are spot on.

Overall: For only your second contribution you have done a wonderful job - well done. I look forward to your future work since this entry is so good.
