palmby GinaRothfelsComment: decent image but lacks a bit of interest for me. You used the rule of thirds which i think works well, and it is a good sihouette.. but it stops there... it is just a silhouette, it doesn't encourage me to look longer, it doesn't produce a feel for me. I am not sure what whould help this image. perhaps it is too cut and dry.. like the whole plant is included in the picture.. perhaps if just the leaves were in the image, or hmm i am not sure what to say. it is a decent image though, and nice exposure in the strong sunlight.

On the top of the worldby heidaComment: hi there from the critique club
ohh boy.. an image from heida.
i really like your images.. and this one is no exception. I think the hill provides a nice line for the eye to follow, and i really enjoy the whites and blues in the sky. There is a good sharp line between sky and land. The person makes this image work. without the person i think it would be boring. Good choice of perhson as well, i don't know if they are old, but they look a little old and very contemplated, with the wind blowing... it really completes the pictures. good job. i look forward to your future images. |

Get a whiff of her!by LeniceComment: hey there. here are my thoughts.
There is a bit of distracting things.. which would be hard to get rid of, like the fence in the backgroun, the tractor tire... trees. I think this could be improved with a shallow DOF. The image is just a touch over exposed perhaps.. there isn't much black blak on it..... nice cropping though.. and good framing.. and good capture... and nice repetition of the fence going into the foreground and repeating along the back. |
