Fungicleby posthumousComment: Elliptical magic. Impeccable timing!
Just capturing the mushrooms would have scored higher. Hope this helps ;-) |

1.mal di lunaby mariucaComment: Eclectic set that youâve organized into a cohesive idea. The mind races while we wait to crossover to sleep. For me, these images represent memories from an interrupted dream. They spin in my head while I feverishly chase prelude and post. Your images have a strangeness thatâs attractive. Questioning what is real, hidden metaphors, and symbols. We really have no idea what weâre capable of conceiving. An essay! |

1by mitalapoComment: Iâm a big fan of bold high contrast b&w photography so itâs easy for me to appreciate what youâve captured. I also appreciate how you presented Paris without the normal cliche images. Sure the shapes of Paris, Notre Dame and poodle trees, are present but your essay is about light. A light I remember from visiting years ago. Your unconventional compositions and slight tilts give these images an effortless look that is missing from modern photography. Genuine photography with no gimmicks â a terrific series! |

stonescapes-1by rooumComment: Clive, very nice overlays. Iâve played around with this technique but never had much luck. Maybe the results match how we really see, never truly focussed on one thing.
Some photographs seem to be taken for books and others for walls. I agree with Mita that these are for gallery walls. Each requires a longer look to explore the layers and depth you presented.
As always, excellent work! Message edited by author 2017-03-23 08:09:50. |

Olching 1by primabarbaraComment: Nice followup to your last essay. The term âgravity beerâ is new to me and makes sense. Canât help but wonder if the gravity is really on the consumer more than the beer ;-)
As Mita eloquently stated, looking through these I can hear the atmosphere. When a photograph awakens senses other than visual you are exceeding the limitations of photography. Congratulations are in order! I particularly like the quiet captured in the last image. A few echoes remain allowing us to contemplate what just happened.
Cliveâs advice is very good for shooting in low light. Cameras are beginning to handle higher ISO setting quite well. ISO 3200 is still usable on my Fuji X-T2. Iâve been shooting with a shutter speed of 1/125 sec, aperture 1.4, and auto ISO floating up to 3200. The blur in your images doesnât bother me and helps illustrate the events energy. |
