T E X T E R C I S E Sby idnicComment: Has anyone seen DPC's funny bone? Anyone? I always try to find the biggest disparity between my faves and the voters. You win this challenge. I guessed right for blue and red, you shoulda been yellow. |

Color Choicesby JaimeVinasComment: I like the well executed simplicity here, but the big black bars of the frame are distracting. I miss the barrel reflections on the yellow pencil, what happened there? |

Unfinished (Coloring the Canvas)by BrianRComment: I like the POV concept but I don't see a strong tie between the materials and the finished image. The pallet and pencils in the ready are too little of the frame, the hand holding the pencil doesn't make me think that hand is busy working to detail the sunset scene. I think this is a killer concept, but a bit more of a connection between media , artist and finished image are needed. |

Unzip Your Creative Sideby KarenNfldComment: A fine idea, well laid out, lit and edited, I just wish the focal plane didn't soften right after the zipper. I like that it blurs at the back, but a few more crayons in focus would have helped. |

Color Waveby k9logicComment: This one is tough to judge, because as a graphic it rocks; great crop, vibrant and dynamic, it would make a great offset print. As a pure photograph the density of saturation washes out the subtle textures and I can hardly tell where the rough paper ends and the waxy crayon begins. On a different site with less obsession over technical mastery it would be a no brainer, because the image grabs you by the throat. I'm going to have to give it a provisional score and come back. |

Visit Icelandby gsalComment: Congratulations on being my highest scoring, lowest finisher. Either I'm wrong, or they are. I'm guessing its them. |

Potomac Winterby levyj413Comment: This is a lovely moody shot, quite under rated IMHO. The snow in the foreground is a bit too bright, but I like the feel and the way the Jefferson Memorial pops. Message edited by author 2009-04-12 22:50:58. |
