From the Rockby novaComment: I agree with the previous commenters that this is a very strong image.
I am especially drawn to it as it is almost an exact replica of a painting I attempted in the early 80`s.
Perhaps you would have scored higher had there been some cloud to give more detail to the sky and add tonal range to the overall image...although I prefer it the way it is.
Good work. |

Skin Tonesby ImagineerComment: I really like this...it has so much to admire.
The little detailed things like the light hitting the edge of the flaking bark are what make it special for me.
Well done Jon. |

Summit of Rannoch Moorby TallblokeComment: Never got round to submitting to this challenge but this is the area I had in mind for visiting should I have found the time.
Wanted to get a shot of "Buachaille Etive Mor".
I really like the way you composed this and the cloud lying in the valley between the mountains adds to the "wild and remote " feel of the image.
Well done. |

Dreaming of Serenityby cheekymunkyComment: Still my favourite of the challenge and glad to see that nobody picked up on the fact that this was more "white on light" than the reverse :)
I`m with you on the border...I think it works well.
Congrats on the high placing. |

Walking to Workby nicoledbComment: I didn`t get the time to vote on the "Bridges" challenge..but if I had then this would have received a high score from me.
Clean, sharp and beautiful tones make this an outstanding image.
Great work. |

Dreaming of Serenityby cheekymunkyComment: This is my favourite so far..the only thing I see that may work against you is that your subject appears whiter than the background...hope that isn`t a problem as this is a great pic and deserves to be successful in my opinion. |
