Although the lighting has an unnatural almost "studio" look..I like the effect and feel it works very well with the subject matter.
Not being an expert on post processing techniques I`m guessing that you have achieved this look through dodging and burning ??

Really like the composition in this shot..the gentle downward slope of the mountain and the perspective created by the canoes seems to be leading the eye through and out of the picture.

I believe you...taken from South Queensferry on the wee road that takes you to Cramond and the light is on the correct side of the bridge for that time of day.
This shot is an absolute beauty..well worth getting up early for.
