 This was the scene of an accident which killed a popular motorcyclist on May 30, whose photo is attached to the lamp post.

While I was taking this, a girl arrived at the scene to lay flowers. I asked if she knew him well and she informed me that she was his sister. She told me he'd been speeding and said that my photo would do some good, adding "if it aided the prevention of other road deaths due to speed or careless driving then it's got to be a good thing."

Edits:
Dupe layer, channel mixer, layer mask for selective colour, hue/sat, levels, dodge & burn.

Wow, a powerful image. The selective desaturation was a good choice and executed very well.

Meeting the sister there must have been quite an experience. A young girl died just by my house from a car accident due to speeding also, very sad.

Beautiful! Even the slight feathering of the border into the photo fits the mood of this picture. Good way to show deep DOF. Good work! (9)

Wow - touching shot, very creatively done with the color vs. b/w and good use of the deep dof. There's some sort of blur or soft focus in the highlights that adds a bit of surrealness to this. Very artistic, speaks volumes. Nice, interesting piece of work.
