A Mother's Lamentby KenComment: Title is very nice. For me the balance between face and chest is not working. I love the face, love the hands . . . wish she'd been wearing something different so I didn't have such an expanse of shoulder/chest. What bothers me is that I find I have to stop and figure out what this is every time I view it - the initial impression is just of a big, amorphous blob in the center. Gave it a 7 as I do like so much about it. Voted days ago . . . back to comment on a few. |

Shade and Lightby AliaaComment: Perfect lighting and lovely repeating, receding shapes. I love places like this. Voted days ago . . . back to comment on a few. |

Shadow Catby BaldurTComment: Terrific perspective and catch. Love the combination of patterns (shadow, mat, fur). Would like whiter whites - this fals a bit flat for me. 7 Voted days ago . . . back to comment on a few. |

Strings in Blackby US2UKComment: Love the simplicity and the fact that I know exactly and instantly what this is - the very essence of a guitar. I could use a LITTLE more detail, though - but I'm not sure what. Voted days ago . . . back to comment on a few. |

Big Lagoon, Muir Beachby EstimatedEyesComment: I do love the mood, S curve, and light in this one. For me it might work better with a horizontal flip. It seems to call for something "soothing:" Voted days ago . . . back to comment on a few. |

Sunlightby enikoComment: The colors and contrast are wonderful. I'm not sure about the composition or soft focus on stem. Good score, though. Voted days ago . . . back to comment on a few. |

Heart On My Sleeve by grahamgatorComment: A contender for me - like the pose, the contemplative expression, the setting, the hat. For me there's not quite enough contrast but also, and more importantly, she is so smooth she looks like a mannequin and I want a real person. Voted days ago . . . back to comment on a few. |

Lonely Vesselby LuciemacComment: Without whatever is on the bottom, this would probably be one of my top three. It's near the top anyway, but I find the wooden table or whatever it is distracting. The warm tones, texture, and more detailed design don't work with the cool blue, smoothness, and simplicity of the pitcher. Voted days ago . . . back to comment on a few. |

His Lover's Rose by patchesComment: I think the light, perfection of the rose, drama of the colors are all excellent. I'm a fan of painterly filters but for some reason I think this might have been better before you applied it. Voted days ago . . . back to comment on a few. |

Spiraling Succulent by Donna-DeeComment: One of my top two. I love the curving lines and the repeating patterns. The tonal range is great. Voted days ago . . . back to comment on a few. |
