A very different and unique photograph.
Initially, when "speed voting", I rated this low... but after a further review... I find a beauty in this photograph.
The darkness with the brightness, accentuating what appears to be dying flowers?
It has got a beauty that most won't see.

Initially I rated this photo very low. Simply because on first glance, it didn't seem like a "landscape".
When people think landscape, you usually think of a field, or the mountains, or the ocean... some type of "land"...
But... this photo makes you think... it's an "urban landscape". An innercity feel to this photo.
These types of photos are the reason I enjoy commenting... because it makes me think more... it makes me look "outside the box".
Love the detail. You froze the action perfectly in this photo.
I truly enjoy looking at it... though I wonder how many others will appreciate it for it's beauty.

Strange choice for this challenge. The photo seems overexposed... I do like the DOF here.
I'm assuming that's a person in the background, standing by a tree?
The crop of this is strange.
But... good job entering the challenge... I didn't, so it's more than I did.

The fields

At first glance, I didn't appreciate this photograph. However, the more I look at it, the more I find I like it. There's a "painting" feel to it. Something different than the over done HDR people use (amongst other PP).
The hint of red gives a focal point, and an interesting one at that.
This photo would work well in landscape orientation as well (with much of the sky cropped down, of course)... but seeing it's a portrait orientation challenge, it works well here also!

Very awesome shot! I love the mountains in the photograph... the ruins... the vastness that this photo portrays. It's very well composed, nice colors... and really like the cloud cover in the background... with it hiding behind the main mountain, it really gives a depth to this photo!

Dragon's teeth

Is that water at the bottom of the photo? That's a little distracting. I would have liked to have seen more of it, or none of it.
The "dragon's teeth" is an interesting capture, but not what my eyes immediately focus on. The sky seems a little gray, was there a storm coming in?

lighting seems odd, there is a brightness at the right of the photo that I can't quite explain?
And the sky looks a kinda gray and dreary. Nice detail in the foreground, however.
