Sky Roseby lisaeComment: Lisa,
You scored well on this, but I'm surprised it didn't do even better. I love the back lighting and the subtle gradients of color. I can almost smell this delightful rose. You did a fine job!

Flowers In The Rain by pinbackComment: Greetings from the Critique Club
This is one of my favorites for this challenge. It met the challenge very well, and it also has beautiful color.
Everything about this says "Spring" and "Fresh" to me.
The rain is so clearly visible and on a terrific diagonal angle.
The yellow and green are crisp and have nice tonation and gradients of color.
The composition is a simple one...I like that! There is no doubt about the subject for the subjects shines so well.
The dof is very good, with the background being perfectly oof but still natural looking.
Very, very nice!
Regards,
Grayce |

Drenched!by zerocusaComment: Greetings from the Critique Club
This image meets the challenge of weather without any doubt. I like that I can actually see the rain, and the movement of the person establishes that he is moving fast to get to a dry spot, probably his car. He is in a good place in the composition, since he has plenty of space ahead of him for movement. That's good!
The foreground shows some bike handle bars. They are distracting and don't really help the image any. They could easily be cropped out.
The cars don't contribute much to the artistic elements of this picture. A fence or trees would have been more appealing, to me.
The greenery that IS in the picture adds lovely color.
I hope to see more of your work here on DPC. Keep shooting! :-)
Regards,
Grayce |
