I like the way the rocks frame the moon. I think a night shot with stars would have been more fitting to the title of the photo though. Non-the-less, still a beautiful shot.

This was actually one of my ideas at first. The sole seedling. I like the contrast between the fresh plant (life) and the ashen sand (death). The blur at the top left and bottom right doesn't add much to the photo though.

That drip of blood on the finger really makes this shot. If that bottle is White Zinfandel, I can understand why the subject wanted to kill themselves. ;) Nice use of DOF and very realistic looking.

I don't know if this was your intention, but that shroom almast has a human face to it. Not only that, but a sad, miserable, weather beaten face too. I LOVE IT!!! Nice use of depth of field. The only critique is that it is too centered.

There is a too much going on in the background that is detracting from this photo. Also, the trees are slightly blurred. However, the composition is nice and the subject is appropriate for the challenge.

I love the way the lines merge in this photograph. Had you given it a bit more space on the right and let the dock meet the horizon, it would have been even better. As far as the challenge, I fear you may get people who don't agree, but a couple can be alone as easily as a person. Plus, nothing says alone like a rainy day at the beach. Nicely done.

I am having difficulty matching the title, the photo, and the challenge with this one. The title says confinement, but the tree seems to be reaching out and over the confining fence. If I am missing something, feel free to enlighten me.
