Solitudeby NeatComment: Now what did you do to this little boy (Luke)? You might as well call the image "Burnt by the sun"! Other than the totally uninspired title, you just got my 9. |

He's Kicked The Bucket by jagarComment: Good job and truly the best in show. Plus, la joie de vivre that permeates all your work. And a french palindrom for your image:
Ta belle porte s'use trop, elle bat |

Stalkerby rooumComment: Tarkovsky is one of my 3 favorite directors - I had a shot for Stalker also (I prefer yours) but thought that nobody will know the movie!

2011art1-1aby CuttoothComment: I find myself guilty on occasion to mention a quick connection that my mind makes between a photograph and a painting. If I mention a painter or a painting it is not that I compare the photograph with a "higher" form of art.
It's more in the same vein in which Agatha Christie portrayed Miss Marple who always found a link between everything and everyone by just studying the events and people of her little village; a way of understanding.
This is a powerful image (well, heck, Bacon comes to my mind!) in which the elements were treated technically a bit unevenly. While one side is so much like an x-ray , the other side is treated painterly and I lose concentration.
I would certainly mark it high without making it a favorite. |
