Stalker (1979) directed by Andrei Tarkovsky based on the also very wonderful novel by the Strugatsky brothers, 'Roadside Picnic'

Maybe not my favourite film but it's certainly in my top ten or even five.

Tarkovsky was also a great photographer as well. This collection of his Polaroids is beautifully evocative and is one of my favourite photography books.

Loved this one.
Russian SF of a certain period is really interesting, even if I admit that I found out about the movie because of the videogame, which is loosely based on the 'zone' idea but much less fascinating.
Good job, a very evocative image.

Tarkovsky is one of my 3 favorite directors - I had a shot for Stalker also (I prefer yours) but thought that nobody will know the movie!

Barren, hopeless, fear.

Feels too white to be able to focus clearly, i keep looking down at the bottom 1/3 of the image only.
Not sure who's stalking what, think a better reference to a movie would be Fargo - i can picture this scene in Alaska quite easily...

I like the off balance building and skyline. Works well your movie title.

There are many different movies titled "Stalker". So I am not sure which one you are talking about here. However, I must say, it does have a "stalkerish" feeling here. I think that if it wasn't so overexposed, perhaps if you went the other route and underexposed it, it would portray the concept better? I am not sure. But, it does have an eerie feeling to it.

Marvelous image. Not as foreboding as I imagine a stalker might be
