"Excuse me while I kiss this pie", Purple Haze - J. Hendrixby shoylesComment: Fun shot. My suggestion would be to have eliminated the background, the wood line in the wall and the dark curve on the left distract from the main subject (as small distractions as these seem, they affect the overall impact.) You might have even cropped the left side to eliminate the background and her hand, and it might have been a bit stronger without any other manips. |

America's Favorite Pass-time by hgpayneComment: I didn't vote on this challenge, but if I had, I am sure I would have picked this for a winner! Great take on the challenge and great shot. |

Biancaby librodoComment: Very nice--the soft focus works for me EXCEPT in the eyes. Those should be sharp here. |

3 Flowers: Happy, Sad and Shyby bobdaveantComment: Oops--2 and 1/2 flowers? The composition here is a bit unusual. Other than the "three" theme, this would be a much better photo if you cropped off the right 1/2 flower. Covering that with my hand, it's a strong two-along-the diagonal comp. |

Domino Effectby Dr.ConfuserComment: Good idea and motion capture. I think the fully fallen dominos, while part of the story, are a visual distraction here. the blacks are so black, to me, they blend together and make a mass. I think a bit brighter background, and perhaps if you could have captured fewer dominos, starting with the fifth from the left, it would have been stronger for me. |

Three Foundby KylieComment: The dynamic range here is a bit overwhelming--there are not large areas but my guess is the highlights are overexposed. Because of the exposure issue, the scene doesn't stand well on its own, IMHO. The three rocks (I am guessing that's what you mean) aren't a strong subject as composed here either. I think if you had shot the other way, into the shade, and perhaps from a low perspective making the rocks more significant, it would have worked better for me. |
