Alone no more...by bruskiComment: Frightening and provocative photo. Visually and technically superb, which adds to the effect. I'm worried about the motivation behind the photo, and I hope that the topic of this image isn't being exploited- images have power to do good and bad... ***as a side note, I rated yours and "You are never alone" the same, though the images are almost totally different, almost opposites. I'm curious to see how you both place. |

Lonelyby arnitComment: Effective photo. When just looking at the image without knowing the title, you can see sadness, whether the sadness is from loneliness, mourning, or anything else. I think when you get down to the pure emotions like this, it makes it easier for any person to "feel" the photo. Well done. |

Sound Waves...or...Can You Hear Me Now?by Firstrich1Comment: Very, very good photo, technically. I wonder about the girl's expression, though, as she isn't smiling with her eyes. It disturbs the mood by adding confusion to the basic atmosphere of innocent curiosity. |

Photosynthesisby banmornComment: Beautiful color. The three dark spots in the photo are a little distracting, though, but you can't (and shouldn't) touch up nature. |

Acid Rainby grigrigirlComment: This is actually.... a more presentable, clean, startling view of death (roadkill?). It's absolutely striking. This is excellent and sad, and its exact enough to view with a purely scientific eye. This unfortunately probably won\\\'t score high overall because it\\\'s not a postcard photo, but be assured that you\\\'ve done very well to capture a very difficult subject. You *should* score in the top, even if you don\\\'t. |

Reflections from number 4by GinaRothfelsComment: oh well- i still think you should have scored among the top photos, if not have been the winner. obviously only mainstream, postcard styles will "win" in the dpchallenge, but don't worry- I really like this photo, and I'm sure others do too. you wouldn't have prints available would you?
