Jack the Ripper springs to mind. If I may offer a suggestion, maybe lighten the shadow to a bit more on the gray scale, not enough to take away the mystery but enough to make the audience wonder if a shape is human or not. Just a bit more spookiness. I like this as it is though.

Okay, I hope you win. I love this shot. The isolation around the moon with the presence of the bony-finger-like branches is awesome. I think the one thing that would make this shot better is the lack of the second moon, but sometimes those things can't be helped. Gorgeous shot.

Love the color. It seems almost as though a miracle or a really bright fire is happening beyond the trees. It makes me want to peek around the corner.

I like the subject and the stone edifice against the black sky, but I think that the lighting in the forefront takes away from the ominous feel that the gargoyle and the stone seem to be representing.

Moonstruck

I like the way the moon looks in the background, surrounded by trees, but the tree branches are a little too clear. They seem to take away from the mystery of it. Perhaps if there was more going on behind the initial branches. I guess you might say that I'd like to see more of the night sky hidden. Good shot overall, incredibly bright moon.
