You have a nice close up of these elk but it lacks contrast and detail in the elks head. Would the horse drawn item have helped your picture if it had been included? It looks as though you might have been able to reposition for a more interesting shot. 5

Nice macro, and I like the complimentary background. I think it would have been better if the cord trailed out of the upper right corner, as it seems to reverse my line of sight, and for no reason. 7

nice close up but it seems as though a lot of detail is lost in the shadows. Only the single raspberry goes WOW for me and it can't cerry the complete picture. The remainder does not help it out of course this inly IMO. 7

This picture sure could be used in an add but it kind of needs thtext of the add tommake it say anything. It is kind of empty on its own merits. With your border I expect the soft focus is intentional. I think sharper image would be nice too. 6

IMO your picture is quite busy and the main subject is under exposed. I would like to see more detail of the cones and not have the sky blaring at the viewer. A difficult task to correct but maybe you could have achieved about the same effect by taking the picture with the sun behind you instead of the subject. 5

The overly bright background has made it difficult for proper exposure of the front side of your hawk. If it was possible I think you should have taken more shots with varied exposure values to get the feathers to come to life. I also think a tighter crop would have improved an otherwise great shot.

You have a wonderful subject, and it looks as though she wants you to get a great picture also. I think it is a little flat and could have the contrast bumped up a bit, but the worst problem is your light. The blaring light from the window shades is very distracting, you might have hung a white sheet over the to diffuse the light to give you a much better result. 6

You have chose a difficult subject. The fact that it is small and that it is made of hard, highly reflective plastic, your difficulty factor climbs at an alarming rate. Next time try to use indirect natural light or diffuse your flash by placing some tissue in front of it. Remember you are in control of the situation and you must be patient enough to be completely satisfied with the outcome. Were you? 5
