This one screams stock use. I could see it almost anywhere nowadays. Not the most bueatiful photo this week but probley the most on theme. Corey

I think this is an excellent stock photo that would have a lot of applications. The only problem I see is the yellow background. Most stock photography of this nature that I see uses blue or neutral backgrounds because they are less likely to clash with the colour scheme of the other material the photo will be used to support. Yellow seems like a risk to me.

Nice macro, and I like the complimentary background. I think it would have been better if the cord trailed out of the upper right corner, as it seems to reverse my line of sight, and for no reason. 7

I'm not so sure about the yellow background, but the shot is really attractive. Definately stock.

Hey! I had a shot like that!! ;-) This one fits the theme well. The negative space gives space for writing. Good job! 8

I love the yellow background, the use of DOF is great here, with the plug fading into the background. Perhaps DOF is a tiny bit shallow, the front of the plug could do with a bit more sharpness IMO, but excellent shot!

I could see this in a stock book. 10

A very good stock image, very generic with not bad negative space, and good colour. It is vertical which is a big plus (easy use in editorials).

Good detail captured here. Really nice macro shot. I could see this being purchased to be used in an IT article of some sort. I like the shallow DOF you used to make this feel almost as if the plug is coming out of the frame at you. Good luck!

Yes, you are right on the money. This looks like stock photography to me.
Nice clarity, colors.

Lighting in your image is fantastic. I love the choice of subject and also the dof is awesome. Excellent work and GL.

Now this is something i could see in a stock catalogue unlike a lot of the other pics in this challenge. You may have been able to adjust some lighting to help the end stand out a little more but the rest is great as is. 7

This is an excellent macro shot of a telephone plug...just like might be used in an annual report, a magazine, a textbook, etc. Very wide possibilities for use as "stock" photography. I like the yellow background, the selective focus, the sharpness where it should be sharp and the leadin line drawing the eye to the subject. Very nice work!

Great shot, gorgeous background! I like that the only sharp part is the part that counts.

So high-tech! You really captured a lot of detail in that little plug. It looks great!

composition is good, more depth of field would have been better though

Definitely the kind of thing you'll see in a stock photography catalog! Great macro!

The dof on this shot makes it look like a sea monster or something (which is what they seem like sometimes). Great work, and the yellow background is especially interesting.

Just a little blurry, and maybe the lighting should be adjusted? Still a fun topic and I really like the yellow background.

Strikingly effective, almost three-dimensional. NIce negative space. Excellent shot.
