Antecedentby CutterComment: I love this. His gaze is so direct and yet he is in such a relaxed pose. I don't know if I like the soft glow effect so strong all around him because if contradicts what my vision says I should see. Mainly, the post isn't moving but the effect makes it seem as if it is moving. If that was your intention, it's ok, just letting you know how I see it. |

shelbi04.jpgby irikaComment: Nice use for the technique. The delicate tablecloth/curtain contrasts well with the background. It allows me to create a story for the scene. My interpretation is that even here, in a neighborhood that isn't filled with million dollar homes, one can find the feeling of family, pride, gentleness. The fact that she is washing the curtain implies that this isn't just a temporary location for her. She seems to have a determined look on her face that gives even more substance to the story.
I think I would crop out the left side to get rid of the person standing back there and the brownish trailer. It's a good picture to look at and think about. |

On Safariby SJCarterComment: This is such a happy/goofy picture, it's hard not to like it. The emu reminds me a lot of Goldie Hawn. |

Don't Just Lie There, Mom!by cloudsmeComment: I don't think you have anything to apologize for either. Your idea was clearly captured. Everything about the photo indicates you were trying to portray the woman as an object. Most adults see a pretty body and think of sex. The little guy doesn't see that at all. He sees the object that feeds him and is his buddy, his own personal toy that responds to his every wish. I thought this was one of the best ones in the challenge. |

Learning to be Freeby TelehubbieComment: This is a wonderfully nostalgic capture. One that I'm sure your family will enjoy looking at way into the future. The light, setting and dof are perfect. |

Don't Just Lie There, Mom!by cloudsmeComment: Isn't he the lucky duck. The colors are very clear. The more I look at this, the more surreal it looks with the innocent hand placement and all. |
