In Passingby lil_moComment: The color is nice but I don't think there is enough interest in what is within the frame to garner a high vote. |

Natural After The Rainby jellyooooComment: I have the same problem of centering the most important thing. It is hard to overcome but if one can manage that, their photos will have much more impact and their scores will improve dramatically.
Try cropping this so the center of the main rose is in the lower left rule of thirds position. I think it will make a big difference. |

Here Comes The Sunby GeneralEComment: I can't figure out if that is rain in the sun streaks or if it's just grainy from excessive dodging. That's the only place it seems to have that texture. I think it is way overexposed and if anything, most of the right side should have had some burning done if that was allowed in a basic editing challenge at all. |

Rain, Rain, Go Awayby princessfriesenComment: I don't know if the photographer has seen any of the "water drop inversion" shots, but this would have been great for that trick. As it is presented, I'm torn. Would it look better with the cat in focus? The water would still be there so the challenge would have been met. |

How to OVER water your plants.....by DragonphenxComment: I like the patterns in the dark sections and how they are diagonal. They probably aren't interesting enough to garner a high vote so this will end up with a mid to low score. A tighter crop, cutting out the lower left quadrant, might have increased the impact of the photo. |

Camping despite itby lambie83Comment: I don't think this is going to score to well. It isn't in focus anywhere, it's grainy, and the colors seem to be washed out. The composition is kind of fun, except for the two trees that flank the water runoff. |

Drip Dropby seebrownComment: I like the interaction of the curly vine and the water drop. The vine has some color that could have been increased to add more interest. The leaf in the background, to me, is distracting. Everytime I follow the vine down, I end up being diverted to the vein in the leaf and led out of the frame. To get a higher score, learn to simplify, cut down the objects in the frame to the bare essentials and avoid things that could detract from what you want the viewer to see. |

Droplets after rainby ionelpopComment: Good choice of dof. Normally I don't like a blurred foreground but in this case it works. The things that I feel will cause this photo get a low score are:
the crop. Why leave the top part dark like that? Does it add to the composition?
the texture. It looks overprocessed.
the white spots. the ones in front aren't as distracting as the ones in the back but try not to lose the details in the light spots. Otherwise the voter thinks you lost control of the exposure. |

Raindropsby GeeeComment: The good part of the photo is the streaks of light on the right. I like them and the composition is interesting. Because the drops are not in focus, I think this will end up with a low score. The other things that will lower the score is noise which is showing up in the streaks and the hot spots in the drops. |
