I like the rippled wind patterns in the sand and the wide expanse. The sky is menacing, dark with cloud swirls, great contrast to the mostly warm golden tones and shades of the desert.

Love the interplay of light and colour on sky and peaks reflecting in the waters and land. Superb pastel tones and repeating lines. The violet blue in the foreground matches the sky and the patches of wet beach almost look like stepping stones on a path to serenity. Outstanding photograph.

Nice panoramic. The colours and textures and patterns of the clouds immediately catch the eye and create a sense of dynamic tension and quick movement. After studying them for awhile, then the jutting grey hills and peaks come into focus and only lastly the scrubby foreland of this vast Arizona landscape. Wide, balanced, evocative of desolation and wilderness.

This seascape is beautiful and serene with the soft flowing waves. The rich reddish colour of the light on the rocks, the tumbledown sky over the darker cliffs and the sweep of the blue combine to make this outstanding. Kudos, superb capture.

Comment:
Beautiful textures in this Autumn cornfield and how reassuring to know that something has matured and grown out of that long ago September battlefield. Now it is once again the Season of Change and Dying, perhaps in a distant echo of the past. This place is now serene, anticipating a different future.
The stalks will stand true. Are there 3,654 of them which remember?

The tones of dark and light in this are stunningly beautiful. The layers of repeating Earth enfolds the clouds, highlighted by the crepuscular rays of the brilliant white sun. Awakening the day, awakening the soul as well. Kudos, well done.

It is the vertical and horizontal, sometimes intersecting, sometimes repeating lines that make this dynamically moving photograph effective. It is Autumn, and in this season of change the vines are slowly dying, and the sky is white in melancholy mourning.

Winter's coming

Winter's coming

Comment:
The patterns of the curved treeline in this give way to the related patterns of both the flowing and frozen waters which is in turn reinforced by the curvatures and slopes of the snowy land with its grassy stubble which is related to the trees which began this rich visual journey. Winter is indeed coming, be thee prepared, for it is savage and unforgiving, cold and patient. I like how the footsteps in the snow both blend in and end independently.

Slowly the sun arises and touches the first of the hills, then moves on to light the next, and the next. The repeating waves of hills in this make this photograph serene and beautiful. Change comes slowly but it brings the Light, and the Darkness will recede. It has always been so in the order of things.

Foggy Land

Comment:
I like how the rich brown earth lines and tones in this fade slowly and quietly into a softer representation of being. Then Fog changes this landscape into more muted tones, more indistinct, less definable, into hills that roll and blend with sky. Be aware of near and far will take care of itself, worry not in the natural order of things.
