Love the use of lighting. Nice tones, but may have been over sharpened abit. Just seems the out of focus areas, have a bit of pixelation going on. Still a great image though! As to what it could be, mmmmm. Not too sure, but I keep on thinking of a tea party. Nice job!

At first I thought this was a birds nest. It may well be. But the depth of field looks not quite rite. So I'm thinking you shot through a bundle of brush. The main subject being some kind of seeding plant. I'm not sure of the name, but it looks like a feather. Either way on my guess, a fantastic shot! Your use of depth of field is excellent. Tones and exposures bang on. Very well done!
