Waitin' 'til Springby tfarrell23Comment: There is no real need for a white border here as the entire picture is white space. It takes away from the picture because it is not bright white like the snow. I still give this a 6. |

Ice Fieldby wildirisComment: This would be great with a little more sky. It would be neat if you could stitch two shots together to create a bigger scene! But this is very awesome in itself. |

Heading Home by caseyfaceComment: This is very interesting and unique as a photo. I think I can see some ice in the water in the background but I am not too sure. Bringing that out would help to convey the feeling of being cold. Right now I think the message conveyed is more Wet than Cold. I know there is some great thought put into this. I wish I knew what the number in his hand was about... |

chilledby jencruzComment: I rated this one kind of low and wanted to provide some feedback as to why. I thought this photo was kind of flat. The red should really pop but instead it's lacking in luminosity. Also the background of ice is pretty grey. As for subject matter, I think it is a flower on ice, which projects the fact that is is cold. |

IMG_5899.jpgby chipucComment: Wonderfully bright colors! Excellent sharpness and focus on the yarn.
Your gallery is going to be so colorful after 52 weeks. I wondered if you were going to continue using the fill the frame technique to fill all 52 shots with brilliant colors. Here you kind of left that behind. It would have been cool to spread out the yarn to fill in the white space a little. You still could have kept the balls of yarn oof in the background. |

Week 5by jdannelsComment: The lighting spilling over the shoulders is great. Perfect white balance and colors. Wonderful darkness. The only thing I could see to play with would be to spill some light on the face. Unless of course you were going for the two lights with a dark stripe down the middle look (technical term unknown), in which case I would say increase the light on the left side (your right) so it is more symmetrical. Very fun photo! |

Snowfallby vickioComment: This is an excelent portrait. The subject is beautiful and bright. The picture has a little soft blur to it. I am pretty sure the focus is good, it's just not too sharp. It's a personal preference though. It looks like the hair on the forhead is a little sharper than the eyes are. |

A L O O Fby Art RoflmaoComment: Kirby must know the Lensbaby steals a bit of it's subjects soul every time it composes a shot...
I am liking the texture overlay and the blur. Does the lensbaby 2.0 use the single glass optic or the double glass optic? Your lensbaby shots are so much darker than mine it makes me wonder if it is the cifference in the optic. Also it looks like the focused area blends into the unfocused area as if a brush was applied to feather the edges together. Is that the shot or is it your PP technique?? I would love to know your secret! |
